Danny Smith is a Toronto-based artist, musician, director and actor whose artwork was first published at age six in the Montreal Gazette.
From 2020-2023, he was the Artist-In-Residence for all Lighthouse Immersive/Starvox Immersive Experience exhibitions in Toronto, including Immersive Disney Animation, Immersive Van Gogh, Immersive Klimt Revolution, Immersive Frida Kahlo, Bob Marley Experience and many more.
His artwork has been exhibited at Royal Ontario Museum, Budweiser Stage, Budweiser Head Office Toronto and The Art Of Banksy Toronto. Danny's art also hangs at Merchandise Building Lofts, Red Lion Advertising Agency, SNDWRX Audio, Cylinder Sound & Film, #Hashtag Gallery, Super Wonder Gallery, Page One Cafe, H Bar, Red Line Cafe, and hundreds of homes around the world.
Danny is also a Film & TV actor who is most well-known for playing Merton Dingle on Big Wolf On Campus (ABC Family.) He has starred alongside Mark Wahlberg (The Big Hit), Jeremy Renner (National Lampoon's Senior Trip), Kirsten Dunst (All I Wanna Do) and Leonard Nimoy in a Telus TV commercial while Danny was the spokesman from 2010-2018.
In 2017, he co-directed a SportChek commercial starring the Toronto Raptors’ Kyle Lowry. He has directed countless radio & TV commercials for brands like McDonald's, Tim Horton's, CIBC, Audi and more.
From 2002-2008, he was a Sony Records-signed musician as the lead singer/ guitarist/pianist/songwriter in the LA-based band The City Drive. They opened for Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Hoobastank and Goo Goo Dolls, and played the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 & 2007.
