Danny Smith is a Toronto-based actor, director, musician, and visual artist.

As a Film & TV actor, he has appeared in countless productions and is most well known for playing Merton Dingle on the television series “Big Wolf On Campus” (ABC Family, 65 episodes.) He has starred alongside Mark Wahlberg (“The Big Hit”, Sony Pictures), Jeremy Renner (“National Lampoon's Senior Trip”, Alliance Films/New Line Cinema), Kirsten Dunst (“All I Wanna Do”, Miramax Films) and Leonard Nimoy in a Telus TV commercial while Danny was the spokesman from 2010-2018. He’s had principal roles in the Hallmark movies “Midnight Masquerade" and "Fir Crazy”, was a principal character in the Disney Channel film "Harriet The Spy: Blog Wars” and has appeared in the Warner Brothers television series “Titans”.

Danny has also voiced characters in many animated series, including playing the lead character Rudie in "Gwen Stefani's Kuukuu Harajuku" (Nickelodeon) and a lead character Petey in "Fugget About It" (Adult Swim).

In 2017, he Directed a SportChek commercial starring NBA All-Star Kyle Lowry while Lowry was on the Toronto Raptors. Danny has also directed many radio & TV commercials for brands like McDonald's, Tim Horton's, CIBC, Audi, Harley Davidson, Maytag and more.

From 2002-2008, he was a Sony Records signed musician as the lead singer/guitarist/ pianist/songwriter in the LA-based band The City Drive. They opened for Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Hoobastank and Goo Goo Dolls, and played the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 & 2007 alongside many bands including Sum 41 and Joan Jett.

As a visual artist, his artwork was first published at age six on the front cover of a comic book insert in the Montreal Gazette newspaper. His artwork has been exhibited and sold at Royal Ontario Museum, RBC Amphitheatre, The Art Of Banksy, Immersive Van Gogh, Immersive Klimt Revolution, Immersive Frida Kahlo, Bob Marley Experience, Budweiser Stage, Budweiser Head Office Toronto, Hotel Victoria and Mossop’s Social House. Danny's art has also been exhibited at Jackalope Gallery, Merchandise Building Lofts, “Live At The Lakes” Music Festival in Cape Breton Nova Scotia, Red Lion Advertising Agency, SNDWRX Audio, Cylinder Sound & Film, #Hashtag Gallery, Super Wonder Gallery, Page One Cafe, H Bar, Red Line Cafe, and thousands of homes around the world.
